Care and handling

Operating conditions

• Trinet cameras are designed primarily for indoor use in well-ventilated environments.
• Avoid direct sunlight and hot environments; the camera protects itself from overheating (see Heat), but heat shortens recording sessions.
• Unless your model is explicitly specified otherwise, the camera is not water- or dust-resistant. Keep it away from rain, spills and dust.

Handling

• Lens: keep the protective cap on when not recording. Remove it by pulling straight off. Never twist or screw the lens — the focus is set at the factory.
• Cleaning: wipe the lens with a clean microfibre cloth; don't use solvents.
• Drops: avoid drops onto hard surfaces.
• Memory card: don't insert or remove the card while recording — stop first and wait for green.

Cables

A worn or low-grade USB-C cable is the most common cause of unexpected disconnects and restarts.

• Use the cable supplied with the camera or a good-quality USB-C cable.
• Route the cable so it isn't bent sharply or tugged by head and arm movement (see Mounting).
• Replace cables that are frayed or loose in the socket.

Storage and transport

Store the camera with the lens cap on, in a dry place out of direct sun.
