Button¶
Trinet cameras have one button. What it does depends on the gesture and on what the camera is doing.

| Tap | Ready (green) | Start recording. In a kit, every camera in the kit starts together. |
| Tap | Recording (blue) | Stop recording. In a kit, every camera stops together. |
| Press and hold until the light blinks blue (about 3 seconds) | Ready (green) | Make this camera the kit leader and open pairing for 30 seconds. Hold again to close pairing early. |
| Double-tap | Ready (green) | Join a kit leader that is open for pairing (searches for 30 seconds). |
| Triple-tap | Ready (green) | Leave the kit (unpair). The light blinks red five times. |
| Tap | Kit cooling pause (Stereo, red blink) | Cancel the pause and return the kit to ready. |
Notes:
- While the light is white (saving or repairing), the button is ignored — wait for green.
- After a card full stop on Trinet Mono, the button does nothing until you replace the card and reconnect power.
- In USB webcam and iPhone modes, the button does nothing; recording is controlled by the app.
- The button never changes the camera's mode (since firmware 0.5.4). Modes are set by the memory card and the app — see Recording modes.
